There's a big push among all the WOTC offices to make the submission process electronic and automated. Just recently, Iowa and Minnesota have joined many other states in creating a portal for online application submissions. Having your state move from paper forms to electronic submission is great for your company! It means no longer spending money on postage to mail the original documents to the WOTC office. The turn-around time on certificates is significantly faster in states with electronic submission, than in states that process paper forms that come through the mail. It also means WOTC Solutions can get those certificates to you faster by printing out the certificates the day they are released.

Don't wait until the last minute to submit your employee! Even though the process is easier and quicker with electronic submitting, the deadline of 28 days from the employee's start date still applies to the electronic states.
